Thirty years in

Private practice. Selective engagements.

The work started before "offensive security" had a job title. Thirty years spent in the discipline when it was still being defined — first on the practitioner side, then building programs, then training operators, then reaching the obvious conclusion: the only way to maintain the level of work that actually matters is to do it directly.

V3X is a private practice built around one principle: the senior operator never leaves the engagement. Not for scoping, not for testing, not for the debrief. The client gets three decades of judgment applied directly to their scope — not managed toward it.

How the work is delivered

Not just scanning

A scanner tells you where to look. It can't reason about your business logic, chain low-severity issues into account takeover, or distinguish a real exploit from a theoretical one. We run tooling for breadth, then do the work that matters by hand.

One operator, end to end

Your engagement is run by one senior operator — scoping, testing, and the debrief. No junior hand-off, no offshore relabeling. Thirty years of finding what others miss, applied directly to your scope.

Senior-led, AI-accelerated

Purpose-built tooling compresses recon and surface coverage. The judgment — what to chase, what to chain, what actually matters to your business — stays with the operator. AI handles the breadth; experience handles the depth.

Evidence over assertion

Every finding ships with a reproducible proof of concept. If an engineering team can't reproduce it in under an hour, it doesn't go in the report. No assertion-only findings, no theoretical risk inflated to drive revenue.

Research & community

Public research, disclosures, and community work are collected in V3X Labs. Additional public profiles and writeups will appear here as they become available.

How we operate

Scope first

Every engagement starts with a documented scope both sides sign. Nothing out-of-scope is tested; everything in-scope is fully covered. Surprises belong in the debrief, not the invoice.

Confidentiality by default

All engagements run under mutual NDA. Clients are never named — to each other or publicly. We treat your architecture and vulnerabilities as exactly what they are: sensitive business information.

Responsible disclosure

Third-party vulnerabilities discovered during an engagement are handled per the agreed protocol. Disclosures outside an engagement follow coordinated best practice.

No offshore relabeling

What you scope with is what you get. Work is not delegated offshore or routed through a staffing layer. One operator, accountable from kickoff to final report.
